FLY aka, Faithful Lutheran Youth, is a mixture of two churches – Holy Cross Lutheran and Christ the Good Shepherd Lutheran. This youth group began meeting in 2016 to get ready for the ELCA youth Gathering in 2018. In 2017, the group went to Lapwai Idaho for a mission trip. This group had a great time helping the Nez Perce tribe and realize their passion for serving. In the beginning of 2018, the youth met at Camp Lutherwood Oregon to bond and to get to know each other. The group collaborated and came up with our name- FLY (Faithful Lutheran Youth). In June of 2018 many of our youth went to Houston Texas to participate in the Youth Gathering.
This wonderful group of young people and their leaders meet once a month, alternating churches. We have lots of fun whenever we get together. Our youth bring so much love and laughter to both churches. We are glad to be a part of FLY.
